Santa Maria Security Camera System
Posted on Jun 10th, 2025
SMPOA has two state of the art 24/7 color video cameras at the entrance to Santa Maria. These cameras allow us to view color images of vehicles at night time and the license plate reader cameras provide much better vehicle identification.
The security cameras along Spyglass Hill were upgraded a few years ago with a more powerful transmitter and receiver that fixed past problems with the golf course cameras.
The EBR Sheriff Department have indicated that Santa Maria has a very low incidence of calls and events. The Sheriff Department can currently access our security camera servers from their sub station which allows them much quicker access to review all the cameras for evidence after an incident.
We do have a voluntary list that includes homes in Santa Maria that have security cameras installed. The list indicates which homeowners are willing to allow the Sheriff Department to view the recorded videos after a nearby crime was committed to look for evidence. If you are interested in adding your name to such a list, please let us know at info@smpoa.com.
Use of the Chapel
Posted on Jun 8th, 2025
Just a reminder: The Chapel is for the use of Santa Maria residents only. If you intend to use the property for pictures or an event, please schedule with the HOA by contacting Carole Deback (her contact information is on the home page of the directory). Non-residents and groups who do not live here are not permitted to use the chapel area. This includes family members and close friends who do not live in Santa Maria - no exceptions. We have had trouble with large school groups taking pictures there, so we have been forced to take a consistent stance on use of the chapel. We really appreciate your understanding.
